January is Gatlinburg's coldest month, with snow on roughly eight days and about 10 hours of daylight. Expect it to be 10 to 20 degrees colder at the cabin's elevation than in town, and plan for a mix of rain and snow rather than one or the other.

Budget four hours or a little more from metro Atlanta. Your starting point can swing that by 20 to 40 minutes, and the last stretch into Gatlinburg is winding mountain road with small-town traffic, so it is slower than the interstate miles suggest. Leave extra room if there is snow in the forecast.

Where is the cabin located?

The cabin is located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Exact address and directions will be provided after booking.

What's included in the trip?

Your booking includes 4 nights of cabin accommodation. Main Cabin rooms also include food and drinks. If you are in one of the other cabins, your room is discounted for that reason, and the optional $125 food and drink chip-in lets you eat at the Main Cabin instead.

How do I pay?

You can pay via Zelle (gatlantacabintrip@gmail.com), Cash App ($TRIBUTARYTRAVELS), Apple Pay (404-852-3133), or Debit/Credit through the registration form.

When is the food chip-in due?

The $125 food and drink chip-in is due between seven days before the trip and the day of the trip. It is optional, and it does not apply if you are in the Main Cabin, where food and drinks are already included in the room price.

How do I get my GATLANTA hoodie?

You can either pay $15-$18 shipping to have it sent to you early, or pick it up when you arrive at the cabin. Just provide your shipping address during registration if you want it shipped.

What should I bring?

Pack layers for mountain weather (temps can drop 10-20°F at higher elevations), comfortable shoes for hiking, a swimsuit for the hot tub, toiletries, phone chargers, and any medications. The cabin provides linens, towels, and kitchenware. Bring your own food, snacks, and drinks. Don't forget sunscreen, a rain jacket, and games for group fun!
