It all started with a vibe. Back in late 2018, the legendary traveler Cedric (@cedinthecity) gathered a group of friends for a spontaneous, budget-friendly getaway to Gatlinburg, TN.
That first trip in January 2019 wasn't just a vacation. It was an epic, bumpy, unforgettable bonding experience that set the tone for everything to come.
Keeping the spark alive
Tragically, we lost our dear friend Ced later that year. But the spark he lit couldn't be extinguished.
Determined to keep Ced's spirit alive, Rod (@Rahtography) stepped up. A veteran media director with over 15 years of travel experience, Rod rallied the original crew and new faces to turn that one-time trip into an annual "Celebration of Life."
Teaming up with global traveler Liz (whom he met in Bali!), they expanded the vision into GATLANTA: a movement designed to blend cultures, connect strangers, and create lifelong families in the Smoky Mountains.
